Sleek MakeUP recently added two brand new palettes to their range, both full of lovely neutrals - A New Day & All Night Long. You probably already know I'm quite a fan of their palettes, currently owning and playing with eight of them. When I saw these promoted on their instagram page, I ordered them both on a whim - and was lucky enough to be gifted another palette of my choosing, which you will see reviewed in a post on it's own.
Both palettes contain 12 different eyeshadows, a mix of mattes and shimmers perfect for everyday wear. All the shades are nicely pigmented, last extremely well but tend to have a bit of fall-out, which is usual for Sleek palettes. Considering their price, these are amazing and a great choice for everyone that loves their neutrals and soft shimmers. Each palette is designed to work well on it's own - you have a selection of shades to mix and match for a desired effect. That's what I like about Sleek - these palettes are perfect to travel with. Sturdy casing, good shade selection and a big mirror that covers the whole lid. What more could a girl ask for?
A New Day features an array of soft nudes that are perfect for your daily make-up routine no matter the occassion - school, work or just a laid back day in the city. There are four matte shades and eight shimmer. On the first swatch picture you can see them in natural light, but their beauty really shows once they meet sunlight, as you can see on the second swatch picture. All the eyeshadows go well together but as you can see there is a theme - first row is warm and bronzey, second colder and taupey. You know how we all love to own and use make-up with cute names? Well, this is by far one of the cutest I've seen! The whole palete carries a positive, happy vibe which can be seen in the names of the shades, left to right: Sun Is Shining, Brightside, Daydreamer, Let It Go, Don't Worry, Be Happy, Feelin' Good, Silver Lining, Shine On, Carpe Diem, Believer, H.A.P.P.Y. If these don't make you smile just by looking at them, I don't know what will ;). My favourite to use are Brightside, Silver Lining and Carpe Diem.
All Night Long features a mix of sultry smokes that can be worn softly during the day or layered up for a beautiful night-out look. Only two of the shades are matte, the rest all are lovely shimmers. As usual, the eyeshadows work well together and you also have a nice variety to choose from. The whole palette is inspired by cocktails, which can be seen in the names, left to right: Bellini, Negroni, Martini, Prosecco, Kir Royale, Mimosa, Champagne, Spritz, Mai Tai, Cosmopolitan, Daiquiri, Manhattan. Nice one, Sleek, girls will love these ;). My favourite to wear are Prosecco, Spritz and Cosmopolitan. If the first palette is perfect for your everyday make-up, this one covers all the basics and would me my choice to take away with me, since it can be used for either day or night looks. Probably one of the best Sleek palettes so far, if you ask me!
Do you own any Sleek palettes? How do you like them?
